Goodbye Basket & Card...

A co-worker who I have worked with for many years is leaving and so I have been creating a few fun items for her... she is one of the nicest people I know so I wanted to create something special.

First I couldn't find a card that I liked for the basket I had in mind and so I went looking on the internet for some ideas. I was up until almost 2am crafting this card, took me about an hour - hour and a half. But I am really happy with how it turned out.

Next I spent a few hours shopping finding treats to fill the basket, I also bought a $10 Tim Hortin's gift card and put it inside a paper cup from Tim Hortin's. I bought a fabric place-mat and I used it for bows on both sides of the basket as well as with the leftover fabric I created a floor for the basket, so she can use the basket for something else later. I shredded amber, red, brown and green cardstock for in the basket. I used ribbons on the handle, and some with the bows too.

Here it is filled with all the goodies. Mostly chocolates and a package of Jelly Beans. Plus a mug!

I also created a coffee cozy using ~ this ~ easy to follow tutorial.

And then I used cellophane on the basket to finished it.
