March 29th, 2013: Multiple locations...

Another just beautiful day to be out and about. I went out with my 2 friends and our cameras to a few places around the city. It was 6 Celsius / 42 Fahrenheit when we left and 12 Celsius / 53 Fahrenheit by the time we came home! Right now as I type this it is 15 Celsius / 59 Fahrenheit!

Our first stop was to a beautiful wildlife park, the picture below is just a small pond in it, it is also close by the river, but we didn't get over that far. We spent most of our time in the forest, sometimes on a trail, sometimes not.

Here we saw tons of starlings, 5-6 northern flicker woodpeckers, 10 downy woodpeckers, 6 female deer (and 2 of them fighting), few female red polls, few crows, a few pigeons and 1 very cool pheasant that we walked by and it took off. Scared me to death lol and I screamed!

The 2nd place we went was to the same bridge as yesterday, this image is from yesterday, I forgot to take a new one today lol.

Here we saw the same Male Hooded Merganser from yesterday, a few geese, some pigeons, a red-breasted nuthatch, an american robin, few house sparrows, and a few seagulls.

And then we went to a trail in a forest near this bridge, it follows the river on the right side of the above picture.

Here we saw a northern flicker woodpecker or two, 2 blue jays, a few crows, a few downy woodpeckers and lots of beaver activity but no beavers.

Here are just some of the pictures we took.
