March 28th, 2013: A local Bridge...

What a beautiful day to go out with my camera, it hit 15+ Celcius / 59 Fahrenheit today. There were so many birds out and about. Look at this beautiful view I got to enjoy. I was out for about 2 hours.

I saw the birds below, as well I also saw a flicker woodpecker, he flew over me and I missed him. And a red-breasted nuthatch as I was crossing the bridge, missed him too. Also in the forest I saw a huge brown butterfly, but there were too many trees I couldn't catch him lol

Seagulls
A lot of them out flying today!

Cedar Waxwings
Saw about 5-10 in the tree tops!

Starlings
This pair were going in and out of the dead tree, maybe a nest inside ?

Male Red Crossbills
I saw quite a few today!

Downy Woodpeckers
I saw 4-6 males and females in the same area today. Males have the red on their heads.

Canada Geese
There were a few close by where I was and as I was leaving I could see a lot down the river.

Male Hooded Merganser
This is my find for the day, I haven't seen this kind of duck before. Beautiful bird.

House Sparrow
Quite a few of these also.
