January 17th, 2012: Multiple Locations...

Last Thursday a friend and I went to a local lake & park, then to a small town near by and then to a local park. It was so windy, not really the best day for pictures.

On the way to the first location we saw a coyote running through the field and it ran across the road and into the next field... running so fast we couldn't have gotten our camera's out if we tried.

A local lake & park

This lake & park had a few barns... We only saw a few small birds... redpoles, black-capped chickadees, a downy woodpecker, and a flickr woodpecker that was on the ground where we walked and took off when we walked by it... scared us lol

I took a bunch of photos and merged them together into a panorama photo with my software... click the image to see it a bit larger. The cliffs were just beautiful!

I love fences and barbed wire for some reason, I find them so interesting.

We couldn't believe it when we found the first birds nest. And then 10 minutes later we came across another.

Redpoles

Black-capped Chickadees... I was trying to get a photo of one flying, not that clear but it's still cool to me!

Male Downy Woodpecker

On the way to the small town we saw these beautiful horses running!

In the small town
These horses were in the town, so pretty!

A local park

We didn't see any birds or wildlife, but I did see this large nest... so cool!

  3. Thank you Stacy,

lol You will notice when you see my pictures, certain things draw me to them, lol fences, barbed wire, fence posts, barn, grain elevators, nuts & bolts, knots & holes in trees, moss, fungus, mushrooms, etc, hay bales, nests, paths & trails, reflections, locks & keys and the list is growing fast!

I have really been trying to get some good flying shots, really hard to get but so much fun trying!
